Where to Eat in Orlando Right Now! #orlando

Inevitably one question we are asked, when foodies and friends connect with The Primlani Kitchen is: Where should I eat right now? What’s your favorite restaurant?

Since we are equally opportunity eaters and drinkers, below is a list of bakeries, bars, and restaurants that’s rocking our bon vivant boat.

Arguably the hottest opening of the year 1921 by Florida’s lauded Chef & Restauranter Norman Van Aken, has finally landed, fittingly at it’s new home in the historic district of Mt. Dora. Inside the stylish space, Chef de Cuisine, Camilo Velasco prepares seasonal and sustainable ingredients, showcasing his international influence, with everything from Smoked Madura Flatbread, Florida Grouper in Coconut Curry, Korean Fried Cornish Hen, to Tres Leches Popsicles, that charmingly compliment the modernism museum poignant pieces.

A Travel + Leisure’s Top 25 America’s Best Family Hotels, and a welcome respite from the hustle & bustle of theme parks, Reunion Resort offers locals as wells as tourists, an mouthwatering opportunity to soak in sunshine while indulging on an epicurean excursion. Kick of happy hour at Grande Lobby Sushi Bar with thoughtfully crafted cocktails and pristine prepared sushi and sashimi by Chef Michael Ha. Saunter on to Forte, the resort’s Italian inspired restaurant, where Chef Russel Stehle tantalizes your senses with world-class wines and delightful dishes ranging from contemporary creations such as deconstructed panzanella salad to comforting classics braised short ribs with mushroom risotto. Cap of the evening at Eleven, the resort’s rooftop restaurant and lounge for sweet treats, snappy sparkling wine, and festive fireworks. With sweeping views of Disney and three signature golf courses in all directions, Reunion Resort is a one-stop sanctuary, you just might find yourself making excuses not to leave.

Quickly becoming our beloved brunch spot is the recently launched Champagne Brunch at Highball & Harvest. Showcasing a cornucopia of buffet-style brunch bites featuring H&H’s standout Southern fare, including nifty versions of eggs benedict, burnt rosemary rubbed prime rib to bacon-glazed Brussels sprouts, chopped and chilled section showcases salads like bourbon marinated fruit salad to soft cheeses, slivers of smoked salmon, juices and jams, all made in house, and rotated weekly. Satisfy your sweet cravings with Pastry Chef Cheramy’s alluring array of near-perfect renditions of French and American staples, from croissants and cakes, donuts and danishes, to house-baked baguettes.

Creative cocktails with clever riffs on bottomless bloody marys and mimosas, which all taste great while soaking up sunshine on the airy patio, surrounded with waterfront views. Add stellar service to the mix, it’s the kind of place you will want to linger on for hours, a mini -staycation to refresh and rejuvenate your mind and soul.

If you lean on boozy brunches, we highly recommend catching a ride on Uber. If dining with a designated driver, feel free to valet at Ritz Carlton as H&H validates parking for local residents.

Our congenial neighbors, the Canadian’s have landed in the sprawling space at Mall of Millennia, (previously Blue Martini). Whether you are looking to imbibe in between shopping sprees or looking to entertain your co-workers, Earl’s Kitchen & Bar sporting two craft-centered bars, pleasing patio, and a sleek dining space offers internationally inspired culinary expedition with stops in Italy, Korea, China, India, and American classics.

Now open for midday meals 11:30-2:30 from Tuesdays – Saturday, The Osprey Tavern, our neighborhood gourmand watering hole, wins accolades for the hottest power lunch spot in Central Florida. From thoughtfully crafted cocktails, sensational smoked sandwiches, to cookies to go, there is plenty to please power players.

Just as the regular season of NFL is upon us, the dynamic duos of Rusteak have scored a show-stopping touchdown with their newest digs The Stubborn Mule. Sweeping us of our feet were the sweet, spicy, smoky, sensational flavors from smashing Shareables like Sticky Pork Belly to Soft Pretzel Rolls, stackable Sandwiches from Snow Crab Rolls to Stubborn Mule Burger, flavorful Flatbreads, snappy Salads, and exceptionally well made Entrees. Did I mention bottomless boozy brunches on Saturdays and Sundays?

Revolutionizing the brand, Tony Roma’s recently renovated their I-Drive location into a swanky space, boasting an airy outdoor patio with a fire place, an indoor/outdoor bar, and three state of the art private dining rooms. Equally impressive is their trendy take on small plates, glistening with global flavors and finger-licking goodness, plus excellent cocktails.

Thanks to the recent resurgence in farm to table restaurants, sustainable food movement, and talented chefs, O-town’s food-and-beverage dining scene continues to be more dynamic and attractive than ever.

Slowly but surely, fall is sneaking into Florida. As the temperature drops, we find ourselves spending a little more time outdoors. Heck even my fur babies are soaking in the sun. Our sunshine state is blessed with consistently mild weathers, where you can walk in (or uber) to any of these rocking restaurants for the loveliest lunches, delightful dinners, or coolest cocktails in O-town.

Until next time, have a delicious day!!
